A major attack by Russian explosive drones was underway at dawn on Saturday in kyiv, leaving at least two people injured, according to Ukrainian authorities.
“At the moment there are two victims in the Solomyansky district. Both received medical aid on the spot,” kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on Telegram.
According to him, an apartment building in this district was damaged by falling debris and rescuers were working to extract two women from the rubble.

Several fires were reported in the same district, including one in a kindergarten, added the mayor of the capital. Debris from drones shot down by Ukrainian air defense also fell on the Pechersky district.
These are Iranian-made “Shahed” explosive drones, according to local authorities who did not provide an estimate of the number of projectiles that targeted the capital.
