On March 6, the public warning system will be tested throughout the Russian Federation in connection with major exercises on readiness to protect citizens and territories from floods and wildfires. This was stated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“Keep calm – everything is according to plan! On March 6, the public warning system will be tested throughout the country. The signal “Attention everyone!” will sound,” the department reported in telegram-channel. They noted that sirens and loudspeakers will work, and broadcasts on television and radio channels will be replaced with special information.
Earlier, a member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Senator from the Republic of Crimea Sergei Tsekov said that the Russian Federation could introduce a unified alarm system so that citizens could rely only on it and don’t fall for fakes. In the Moscow region, a comprehensive check of the residents’ warning system will take place from 10:30 to 12:00 on March 6, reports TV channel 360.
