Lokomotiv Moscow defeated Akhmat Grozny in the match of the 15th round of the Russian Football Championship.
The meeting in Moscow ended with a score of 2:1. Mohamed Konate put the visitors ahead in the 66th minute, converting a penalty, while Maxim Glushenkov (79th minute) and Timur Suleymanov (81st minute) scored goals for the railway workers. At the beginning of the second half, a goal by Grozny midfielder Ivan Oleynikov was canceled after the use of VAR. In the 90th minute, the hosts’ midfielder Nair Tikinzyan was sent off.
Lokomotiv scored 24 points and moved up to fifth place in the standings. Mikhail Galaktionov’s team interrupted a four-match winless streak in the RPL. Akhmat (12 points) has not won the championship since the beginning of September.
In the next round, the capital’s team will play away against Samara’s Krylia Sovetov, and Akhmat will play away at Orenburg.
