Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the establishment of guarantees at the federal level for parents of large families. At a government meeting on January 25, it was announced that, in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, parents with many children will receive the same support regardless of their region of residence.
“This year, by decision of the president, has been declared the year of the family, the head has signed a decree that enshrines guarantees for large families, now equal support for parents of three or more children, benefits will apply until the eldest child turns 18,” Mishustin announced. The meeting was broadcast on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.
In addition, parents at the regional level are provided with the following additional benefits:
- free provision of medicines for children under six years of age,
- discounts on utility bills, etc.
“All provisions of the decree must be implemented promptly. I also ask you to carefully monitor how it is implemented. Families, especially large families, should receive maximum care from the state,” the head of government emphasized.
