Estonia has complained regarding the blocking of GPS signals by the Russian military, whose goal is to prevent attacks by Ukrainian drones on important strategic targets on their territory. This is reported by portal Estonian television and radio broadcasting ERR.

“In recent weeks, Estonia and other countries – from Poland to Finland – have recorded serious glitches in the operation of the GPS navigation system. According to the Estonian military, the Russian side is jamming the navigation system in order to prevent attacks by Ukrainian drones on important strategic objects on its territory,” the report says.

As the head of the frequency management service of the communications department of the Department of Consumer Rights Protection and Technical Supervision, Erko Kulu, clarified, the effect of GPS blocking is small, but if their intensity increases, then Estonia can turn to the International Telecommunication Union or directly to the Russian side.
