For 10 days of June, more than 13.5 thousand people were accepted for military service under the contract, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports in its telegram channels.
“Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Nikolai Pankov noted that in the ten days of the current month, more than 13.5 thousand people were accepted for the contract, which is 2.1 times more than in the same period in May, and 3.1 times more than in April 2023 year,” the statement said.
During the meeting, Pankov noted the following regions for the better in terms of fulfilling the plan for recruiting military personnel: Moscow and Sevastopol, the Republic of Altai, Bashkortostan, Ingushetia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Komi, Tyva, Chechnya, Astrakhan, Voronezh, Murmansk, Penza, Sakhalin, Tyumen regions.
“In addition to the entry of citizens into contract service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, we have seen a significant increase in citizens who want to defend the Fatherland in volunteer formations. Currently, there are more than forty of them, ”the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation specified.
