Education and military career of Andrei Bulyga

Bulyga was born on October 13, 1968 in the Kazakh SSR. His military career began with education at the Ulyanovsk Higher Military Technical School, from which he graduated in 1990. Continuing his studies, Bulyga graduated from the Military Academy of Logistics and Transport in 1999 and the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces in 2010.

Andrei Bulyga served in various parts of the country: from the Western Group of Forces to the Far Eastern Military District. He was also involved in the work of the Department of Planning and Coordination (MTO) of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which indicates his high qualifications in matters of logistics and meeting military needs.

Reshuffles in the Ministry of Defense

Bulyga became deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu March 11, 2024. Prior to this, the position was occupied by Colonel General for almost a year Alexey Kuzmenkov, who has now been appointed deputy head of the Russian Guard. This was the third reshuffle in the Ministry of Defense over the past year and a half.
