“Russian Roulette”: 5 popular drugs that can do more harm than good

Antibiotics

Although by law pharmacies must sell antibiotics strictly by prescription, bypassing 2-3 addresses, it is quite possible to find loyal pharmacists who will sell you the drug. Moreover, they will often carefully offer in parallel with it funds “for microflora”, because they know what side effects the intake of these funds can turn into. The very name “antibiotics” contains the meaning of their action – “against life.”

They destroy bacteria that are in the body, at best pathogenic, but most often – everything, including their own, that make up the microbiome. Abdominal pain, bowel disorders, nausea, skin rashes, thrush, headache, and photosensitivity – this is not a complete list of the effects of self-medication with drugs. And if they are children, there can be even more dangerous consequences.

The problem is that many people take antibiotics “for every sneeze” when they are not needed at all. And thus create trouble for themselves due to side effects.
