A teenager Russian A 13-year-old boy attacked three of his classmates with a hammer at a school in the Irkutsk region of Siberia today, authorities said.
“This morning, during the break before physical education class, a 13-year-old teenager attacked his classmates,” Irkutsk youth ombudsman Tatiana Afanasyeva wrote on Telegram.
According to Afanásieva, the incident did not escalate to serious problems thanks to the intervention of a teacher who prevented irreversible damage.
“Three boys suffered minor injuries. One of the injured is under medical supervision and the other two required medical assistance,” he said.
Russian teenager to be investigated
Russian prosecutors have launched a criminal investigation into attempted murder to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
A similar incident occurred a week ago when a student from Chelyabinsk in the Russian Urals attacked three students and a teaching staff member with a hammer.
