Russian competitions with the participation of foreign athletes will be equal in status to the world and European championships.
This was stated by the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin at a meeting with members of the commission of athletes of the Russian Olympic Committee (OCD).
Matytsin noted that Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation together with all-Russian sports federations, with the participation of the ROC, is working on the formation of an updated unified calendar plan for sports events.
It is planned that athletes from abroad will be able to take part in a number of starts.
Such tournaments will be equal in status to the World and European Championships, which should ensure the preservation of the level of social guarantees for domestic athletes and the basis for awarding them the appropriate sports titles.
