The exact place and time of his death are unknown, but Russian President Vladimir Putin also confirmed his death, the media said.

The Daily Mail analyzed Sukhovetsky’s death as “a part of Putin’s plan to invade Ukraine”.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has not officially confirmed Sukhovetski’s death, but his colleague Sergei Tsipilov, a member of the Russian paratroopers, announced his death on social media.

“I have heard the tragic news of the death of our friend, Major General Andrei Alexandrovich Sukhovetsky, in Ukraine,” he wrote on Facebook.

Russian media outlet Pravda also reported that “Major-General Sukhovetsky died while carrying out a special operation.”

Appointed as deputy commander of the 41st Division in October 2021, Sukhovetsky was awarded two medals for participating in Russian military operations in Syria.

Meanwhile, on the 8th day of the invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces seized the largest nuclear power plant complex in southeastern Ukraine, Zaporiza, the Ukrainian military said on the 4th.

The Zaporiza provincial military authorities also explained that they are currently checking whether the nuclear power plant operators are operating safely.

It is not yet known if there have been any casualties in the attack.

The Zaporiza nuclear power plant is a large-scale complex with 6 out of 15 nuclear reactors in operation in Ukraine.

The complex accounts for about a quarter of Ukraine’s total electricity production. As a single complex, it is evaluated as the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.
