Kiev: Russia has carried out its biggest drone strike since the start of its invasion of Ukraine last year. The main attack was on the capital city of Kiev. Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk said Kyiv was the main target of the attack. A total of 75 Iran-made Shaheed drones were fired at Ukraine. The army also said that 71 of them have destroyed the air defense system.
The attack started at 4 am local time. Following the six-hour long attack, power was cut in 77 residential complexes and 120 institutions. At least five civilians were injured in the attack. Several buildings, including a kindergarten, were also damaged. There were also attacks in the Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Kirovohrad regions.
