Russia promises to provide ammunition Wagner decides not to withdraw troops from Udon Bakhmut

MOSCOW (AFP) – Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of Russian mercenary group Wagner Group, said today he had received “commitments” from the Russian military following he threatened to pull frontline troops out of Bakhmut Provides more ammo.

Prigozin’s Wagner Group spearheaded Russia’s grueling months-long assault on Bakhmut, nearly capturing the city in the longest and bloodiest battle of the Russo-Ukrainian war.

At one point on the 5th, Prigozin threatened, “I will withdraw Wagner’s troops from Bahemut, because in the absence of ammunition, they will face senseless deaths.” He also said at the time that he was awaiting orders to evacuate Bahemut.
