The Rwandan President, Paul Kagame was re-elected at the head of his party the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) this Sunday during the 35e international congress of this ruling party since 2000.
He was even acclaimed, with 99.8% of the vote once morest his opponent, Rwandan ambassador to Indonesia, Abdul Karim Harerimana.
The re-election of President Kagame at the head of his party comes a few months before the presidential election scheduled for August 2024 in Rwanda and for which the tenant of Urugwiro Village has not yet spoken.
The RPF, on the basis of its leadership at the head of the country for 23 years, is campaigning for the candidacy of Paul Kagame.
