Sabitzer has to take a break after a muscle injury

The German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has to sign ÖFB team player Marcel Sabitzer for the time being. “It looks like a muscle injury. We’ll miss him for a few days,” said BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl following the 2-0 loss at Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. Sabitzer was injured following a sprint and had to be substituted following just 14 minutes. Felix Nmecha came into play for him.

Further examinations should provide an exact diagnosis and information regarding how long the 29-year-old will be out. “Marcel is a very important player for us. He has arrived little by little in the last few games,” emphasized Kehl. “He always wants to win, he is unpleasant and brings a lot of experience, nationally and internationally, and is therefore extremely good for us.” A longer absence would be a further setback for Borussia, who only got off to a mediocre start to the season.
