Sabrina Mato has joined Goodwin’s Business Law group as an associate, the firm announced this week. Her practice will focus on advising healthcare providers, life sciences companies and private equity clients on regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters.
Mato’s function at Goodwin will include counseling clients on federal and state investigations, fraud and abuse laws, and issues related to the corporate practice of medicine, according to the firm. She began her tenure at Goodwin in 2026, following a previous role as an associate at Reed Smith LLP.
Prior to her legal career, Mato gained experience as a paralegal specialist within the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. She received her law degree in 2024 from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she focused on immigration law and efforts to bridge student communities, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 2020.
While at Reed Smith, Mato was an active member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia. She also provided pro bono legal representation to clients in immigration cases, according to her LinkedIn profile.
As of March 10, 2026, Mato is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
