Khartoum/Stockholm/Amsterdam/Rome – Given the dangerous situation in Sudan, foreign governments are working flat out to get diplomats and nationals out of the country. The United States managed to evacuate its embassy staff from the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Sunday night. All US diplomats and their families have been successfully brought to safety, said the White House and the US State Department.
