Jazz-bar, hotel, club and now restaurant, it has attracted Parisians and others throughout its existence. For this new chapter, the most select former club in Paris has taken on a certain transalpine accent since it is the chef Salvatore Ticca who was chosen to board. Montana on Italian time
What a long way since the 1950s for this emblematic place. A few meters from the even more legendary Café de Flore, sits the Montana and its slender black facade. Whatever its purpose, Montana has always had the merit of attracting customers. When it was created, musicians and jazz lovers flocked there to swing. Then the Montana turned into a hotel accompanied by a small club, in which its legend will be written. Over the years, all of Paris would go and dance in its intimate venue and the personalities who frequented it would forge its reputation. Today, 7 years following a major renovation and the integration of 6 artsy suites, Montana has been transformed once more!
From now on, the “Montana by Ticca”, as the large red neon lights on the front of the store indicate, awaits its guests every day except Sunday in its new designer den. If the use of the premises has changed, the intimate and refined setting is still there. With the baguette, the chef who has affixed his name to an emblem of Paris will know how to please his new audience thanks to his generous transalpine cuisine. Roasted octopus, scallops with guanciale and pumpkin flan, for example, make up the delicious starters on the menu. Then, stuffed with lobster, black truffle risotto and Milanese veal chop will certainly satisfy you. And if not, count on the tempting selection of desserts with Franco-Italian inspirations.
From March, you can also take advantage of the establishment’s rooftop. Ideal for a snack or a drink, it will offer you a privileged view of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
