Saint-Imier now has a Rue des Dix Petites Anarchistes

The municipality of Saint-Imier is continuing its approach initiated in 2020 aimed at strengthening the presence of women in the public space. The current Rue de l’Est thus became this Friday, September 16 the Rue des Dix Petites Anarchistes.

There was the street in tribute to the lawyer Denise Bindschedler-Robert, then the baptism of a square bearing the name of the architect Jeanne Bueche and finally the inauguration of a street in the name of the artist Zouc. For the authorities, it is not just a tribute to a female character, but a tribute to all women.

With this inauguration, the City Council also intends to pay tribute to the writer Daniel de Roulet, author of the novel “Dix petite anarchistes”. The Geneva writer spent his childhood and adolescence in Saint-Imier.
