New Delhi: India’s Olympic bronze medalist Sakshi Malik will not return to the wrestling arena. Sakshi Malik had withdrawn from wrestling following a long-running protest once morest National Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Singh for alleged sexual harassment. Sakshi Malik announced his retirement in December last year due to lack of action once morest Brijbhushan. Sakshi Malik and his co-stars demanded Brij Bhushan’s removal and arrest. However, Brijbhushan was removed and replaced by his confidant Sanjay Singh as President. With this, the wrestlers protested once more.

Meanwhile, there were reports that Sakshi would return to wrestling. This has now been answered. Sakshi Malik said that he was under mental pressure for more than a year and the protest was going on and meanwhile he might not concentrate on the wrestling match.
