For the eighth time in three years, the minimum wage will experience a new increase, of 1.13% on 1is next January in this case, under the effect of the legal revaluation at the start of each year. It will go from 11.52 to 11.65 euros gross per hour, according to calculations carried out by “Les Echos” following the publication this Friday morning of the final inflation figure in November by INSEE. Monthly, the legal minimum wage will be increased to 1,766.92 euros, still gross, an increase of 19.72 euros.

As a reminder, the minimum wage can increase in three ways. The first, by decree, each 1is January, under the effect of the evolution of the consumer price index excluding tobacco of the first quintile of the distribution of living standards to which is added half of that of the purchasing power of the basic hourly salary of workers and employees (SHBOE).
