Criminals targeted a car dealer on Alpenstrasse in the city of Salzburg on Thursday night. Under the cover of darkness, the thieves removed several car parts from a total of 19 of the vehicles parked there.
Audi cars were particularly affected. The perpetrator or perpetrators may have known exactly what they were looking for: the following day, many of the cars affected were missing sensors that were installed under the headlights and on the side mirrors. According to the police, the car dealer suffered a total loss of around 10,000 euros.
The damaged cars were parked on the dealer’s premises on Alpenstrasse. When asked by SN on Friday, the company’s managers did not want to answer whether there was a video recording there that might help convict the perpetrators. The police are investigating.
