A fatal accident occurred during forestry work in Upper Austria in the Braunau district.
A 33-year-old from Salzburg died during forestry work in the Braunau district on Tuesday. He and a 24-year-old colleague, also from Salzburg, repaired forest damage. The 33-year-old wanted to use a chainsaw to cut through an uprooted tree, but the rootstock tipped back and buried the worker. His colleague tried to free him with the help of the tractor and started the rescue chain. The man died at the scene of the accident from his serious injuries.
