Taken aback by the applause of the crowd, Sam Smith burst into tears during his concert at the Bell Center on Saturday evening.

Passing through the metropolis as part of his “Gloria” tour, the British singer gave a whole concert to the spectators present, ranging from his greatest hits, including “Stay with Me”, “Like I Can” or “Unholy”.
As he had just sung “Like I Can”, Sam Smith was treated to a standing ovation from the crowd.
“Oh my God! I really tried not to cry, oh my! Thank you very much, thank you very much, wow. You are amazing right now. I have to tell you, I love you too!”
This is not the first time that renowned artists have saluted the unique character of the crowds in Montreal.
In the comments section of the video posted by user @mikechaar on TikTok, netizens pointed to the artist’s human nature.
“I cried with him. It was such a precious moment! We always show our love for Montreal,” shares a woman.
“Such a beautiful evening!!! We had a lot of fun and he gives quite a show, ”says another user.
