Samsung Canada has launched Samsung News, a new way for Canadians to stay up to date with daily news in one convenient place on their Samsung Galaxy device. With a morning and evening summary of the latest news, a personalized feed and more, Samsung News’ innovative features help users stay informed in a simple format that works best for them.

In its beta launch, Samsung News is a refresh of Samsung Free. Users who already have Samsung Free on their device will see the icon change to Samsung News when the app updates. All other users will be able to access the app by downloading it directly from Samsung’s Galaxy Store. Samsung News will initially be available on select smartphones, before rolling out to all other Samsung devices soon.

“With Samsung News, Canadians can access a selection of personalized news according to their individual preferences,” specifies Jihoon Lee, President and CEO of Samsung Canada. “We see that many Canadians are consuming more and more news on their devices and we are proud to offer Galaxy users a simple, personalized news experience, in the palm of their hand.”

Samsung News will offer users three easy ways to access news within the app:

News of the day: Twice a day (morning and evening), Samsung works with a team of experienced editors to give users a summary of the day’s top news, all in one place.

News feed: Users will also be able to access a news feed from Samsung partners, categorized for easy access, and in the “Following” tab, users will be able to update their preferences to personalize them. news they receive.

Baladodiffusions : Users will be able to listen to their favorite news or entertainment podcasts directly from the Samsung News app.
