One of the great screen factories that we know as Samsung Displaybegan to bid farewell to LCD technology forever by selling all related patents to TCL’s CSoT manufacturer.
At least that is what they comment on the Korean portal The Elecwho say that Samsung Display has sold all its LCD patents to the manufacturer CSoT, in charge of producing the panels for TCL.
In this way, TCL will become the largest manufacturer of LCD panels, while Samsung Display will focus on manufacturing QD-OLED panels to directly compete with OLED panels.
Be careful, this does not mean that Samsung will stop marketing televisions and screens with LCD technology. However, now the panels will come from other manufacturers, such as BOE, Innolux, AU Optronics, CSoT, among others.
