Samsung Electronics, a hacker group that allegedly stole Nvidia’s GPU circuit, also hacked

It is reported that LAPSUS$, a foreign hacker group that hacked the graphics processing unit (GPU) circuit diagram of the American semiconductor company Nvidia, allegedly hacked Samsung Electronics as well.

According to Yonhap News on the 5th, Labsus claimed that it had hacked Samsung Electronics’ servers and uploaded some of Samsung Electronics’ confidential data to torrent a file sharing program.

Labsus also said that the amount of data stolen from Samsung Electronics’ servers reached 190 gigabytes (GB).

Earlier, they claimed to have hacked Nvidia’s servers, which Nvidia has admitted to. Labsus is threatening to disclose the stolen data and is asking Nvidia to negotiate.

However, it is not yet known whether Samsung Electronics has also requested compensation, and Samsung Electronics said that it is investigating the situation.
