On the 6th (Thursday), Samsung Electronics met Vice President Raquel Peña of the Dominican Republic, who visited the Samsung Innovation Museum in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, to introduce Samsung’s business in Latin America and discuss mutual cooperation plans.
Vice President Peña was interviewed by Noh Tae-moon, president of Samsung Electronics’ MX division.
“Samsung Electronics has been introducing various products such as mobile phones and TVs since establishing a branch in the Dominican Republic in 2016, and we will continue to provide the best product experience to consumers in the Dominican Republic,” said Roh Tae-moon, CEO.
In addition, he asked for support for hosting the 2030 World Expo Busan, saying, “The 2030 Busan Expo will be a good opportunity to promote Samsung Electronics’ cutting-edge technology to the world.”
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics plans to operate the ‘Samsung Innovation Campus’, a social contribution program that helps young people in the Dominican Republic find employment, starting this month.
The Samsung Innovation Campus is a program that helps unemployed young people and students become self-reliant through employment by providing ICT-related technology education and mentoring such as S/W and artificial intelligence to increase employment competitiveness.
