Presented in 2023 as one of the lowest priced devices with 5G in the catalogue, the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G proved to be a good cheap cell phone with 5G and surprising cameras, popularizing access to faster networks without the need to spend so much.
However, not only does a device live at a low price and knowing this, Samsung has been working to keep the device updated around the world, which included the initial availability of One UI 6 with Android 14 in November last year.
Now, following this pattern, Samsung has started delivering the latest version of the security patch available on the market for the Galaxy A14 5G, dated March 2024.
According to information revealed by SamMobile staff, the update in question is being delivered for the model identified by the code SM-A146B and initially arrives for the Indian market, and should be expanded to other regions in the coming weeks.
Identified by firmware version A146BXXS3CXC2, the update follows previously released standards, that is, it corrects more than 40 security holes identified in previous versions of the system, the vast majority of which are classified as moderate risk.
For now, there is no prediction of when the Brazilian variant will receive this update but you can always keep an eye on Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
