There are just a few days left until Samsung’s official presentation of the Galaxy S24 line. Even so, the leaks continue to appear and this time they focus on the platforms that provided the devices’ firepower. It is worth remembering that versions with chips Snapdragon e Exynos will be sold around the world.

As reported by the portal Winfuture shows that the United States and some other markets received the version with the Qualcomm platform: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In this sense, it will arrive in a specific version for the Galaxy line, just as happened with the brand’s 2023 launches.

However, as previously reported, not all of the component’s cores will operate with a slight overclock. In this case, the two clusters of Cortex-A720 cores run at 3 GHz and 3.2 GHz in the standard version, while the Samsung cell phone model will operate at 2.9 GHz and 3.1 GHz. Likewise, the cores Cortex-A520 will have maximum frequencies of 2.2 GHz instead of 2.3 GHz.

In general, however, the platform promises to deliver a maximum speed of 3.39 GHz, slightly above the 3.3 GHz of the SoC in its traditional version. In the real world, these technical details should not impact the performance of smartphones, and not everyone will notice, but the difference exists.

Exynos 2400 Details

The Exynos 2400 chip, in turn, should be implemented in the European version of Samsung’s top of the line. Thus, the leaks show the application of a speed of 3.2 GHz on the device’s strongest core, while the two clusters of Cortex-A720 cores will work at speeds of 2.6 GHz and 2.9 GHz. The Cortex cores -A520 will have 1.95 GHz speed.

According to the source, the difference in terms of performance should vary between 3% and 5%. The Galaxy S24 line should be presented by Samsung in 17th of this month and the event should also feature new chargers and a flat screen design in the Ultra variant of the line.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the only smartphone of this generation that must feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in all markets, but some users may be disappointed with the “strategy” adopted by the South Korean manufacturer.
