The South Korean firm Samsung continues to innovate by providing its customers with quality products. On June 12, 2023, it officially launched two new monitors on the market with many innovations. One offers support for some Apple-related features while the second is more suitable for video games with its curved shape.
Le Samsung Smart Monitor M8
Samsung’s M8 smart monitor includes several major improvements for users. Among other things, it has a flat 4K UHD LCD screen with 400 nits brightness and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. In addition to this, it offers HDR10+ support, portrait orientation as well as a new support swivel that offers an inclination of 90°.
In terms of Apple-related features, the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 retains AirPlay support from the previous generation. The goal is to make it easier for users to connect Apple devices to the monitor and display content on the screen. Additionally, this monitor offers USB-C charging connectivity, enhanced 2K SlimFit webcam, smart TV apps, gaming hub, and more.
A monitor available in two versions
For its market launch, the South Korean firm Samsung has designed the Smart Monitor M8 in two different versions. There is a first 32-inch option which comes in blue, pink, green or white color with an 11.39mm thick chassis. It is therefore 0.1 mm thinner than Apple’s iMac and is designed with a flat back, thin bezels and a height and tilt adjustable stand. The M8 monitor is accessible on the Samsung’s website at $699.99.
If, on the other hand, you want to save more and don’t need to upgrade, Samsung also offers the previous version. It is accessible at $449.99 compared to $699.99, which remains the best price of the year so far for this device. Like the new M8 monitor, this device has an 11.39mm chassis, thin bezels, a flat back and an adjustable stand.
The Odyssey OLED G9 Curved Smart Gaming Monitor
In parallel to the Smart Monitor M8, Samsung launched this Monday the Odyssey OLED G9 Curved Smart Gaming Monitor 49 inches. This one is currently available for pre-order at a discounted price of $2,199, down from $2,499. This monitor basically aims to enhance gaming sessions with an OLED screen equipped with the Neo Quantum Pro processor. It is in particular thanks to this that it can provide better image quality during game play.
The Odyssey OLED G9 smart monitor also curves around the user’s field of vision. It features a 240Hz refresh rate with easy access to many streaming services through the Gaming Hub. For any order of this device during this period, Samsung is offering a gift card to customers. This has a value of $250 and is valid for an unlimited period once received.
