Samsung launches cloud gaming for TVs 2021; Which models will receive?

This week I had the opportunity to chat with Alexandre Gleb, Samsung’s TV product manager, at the time we talked about Samsung’s Gaming Hub and Game Streaming. There are two different formats to play on Samsung TVs without the need for a console, only over the internet through the cloud, as a streaming platform.

The novelty of the time was due to the 2021 TVs now with the ability to run the main Cloud Gaming platforms, such as Nvidia Geforce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Difference between Game Streaming and Gaming Hub

Gleb explained that the two platforms have differences, the Gaming Hub is a hub inside Samsung TVs, which makes it possible, in addition to playing games through Game Streaming platforms, to also do other activities simultaneously, such as accessing your music on Spotify, has greater connectivity with accessories , platforms and other news.

We review Gaming Hub

In the review we published of Samsung’s QN90B TV, we had the opportunity to test the Gaming Hub working to its fullest. It was possible to see that, even playing via Wi-Fi signal, there is little lag and more casual players will be comfortable and easy to simply pick up the joystick, sit on the couch and enjoy a beautiful game with hundreds of games available on the platforms.

What is cloud gaming?

Cloud gaming, also known as cloud gaming, is a technology that allows games to be streamed and played on remote servers rather than on a local device such as a personal computer or video game console.

Rather than buying a physical game or downloading a large file to their device, players access the game through an internet connection and can play it in real-time. Remote servers run the game and stream the video and audio to the player’s device, while the player’s commands are sent back to the servers in real-time.
