Samsung leaks – these are the specifications of the rugged business phone XCover 6 Pro

The rugged Samsung XCover 6 Pro has been subjected to a number of rumors and leaks over the past weeks. Even before its official unveiling, Samsung confirmed some of its key specifications on the Samsung Spain website along with the selling price.

The phone was scheduled to be revealed on July 13, but after the leaks, it seems that the company decided that the matter could no longer be delayed. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 778G SoC along with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a slot for an external memory card reader with a maximum capacity of 1TB.

The phone includes two main cameras on the back, the primary camera is a 50-megapixel sensor accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The front side of the rugged business phone has a perforated hole to house the 13MP selfie camera.

The phone includes a 3.5mm port for wired headphones and two configurable physical switches. The phone supports Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 5G networks, WiFi 6E standard, and there is a fingerprint scanner installed on the side above the power button.

The rugged business phone Xcover 6 Pro is MIL-STD-810H rated which means it is usable in harsh military environments, has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, has sturdy frames with curvy edges for easy handling and better shock absorption.

The extra layer of protection is definitely the reason why the phone looks a bit bulky and heavy, as the phone measures 168.8 x 79.9 x 9.9 mm and weighs 235 grams.
