St. Peter’s Square, with its remarkable architectural design and timeless works of art, is the scene of several ceremonies, where the Pope meets the public. Recognizing the importance of quality acoustic and visual rendering in an outdoor environment, Samsung has applied its audio and video expertise to these locations. The four outdoor LED panels were strategically installed in the square to convey a clear image from the beginning to the end of the events, accompanied by audio solutions to convey the message.

Thanks to Samsung’s LED digital signage technology, spectators will be able to participate in the ceremonies in St. Peter’s Square in full detail. IP66 certified, the XHB series reproduces high-impact content even in adverse weather conditions. Furthermore, the super-compact case, just 99.4 mm thick, integrates perfectly into a space as iconic as St. Peter’s Square.

Harman Kardon’s exclusive audio quality also provides balanced panoramic sound that spreads throughout the room, ensuring clear dialogue for an immersive experience for both worshipers and visitors. Adaptive Sound technology ensures that the sound is clear even when the volume of voices is low, ensuring the audibility of even the most whispered dialogues.

“We at Samsung Electronics are excited to contribute our technology and reinforce our commitment to Vatican City,” said Davide Corte, Head of IT Division at Samsung Electronics Italy. “Outdoor LED displays and audio solutions create an immersive audio and video experience to serve both visitors and worshiping communities. It is an honor for us to present the best of our technology in such a unique and prestigious environment as St. Peter’s Square.”
