Samsung will market Pokémon headphones in a Pokéball

Samsung is set to release a limited-edition Pokémon bundle for the Galaxy Buds 2 wireless headphones.

A new collaboration between the Samsung and Pokémon smartphone product line has just been announced. It will soon be possible to charge your headphones in a Pokéball. Indeed, Samsung has launched a new edition of its Galaxy Buds 2 in South Korea. Their particularity? They have a shell in the shape of a Pokéball. They cost 134,000 won, more or less 100 euros. So, given that the standard Galaxy Buds 2 usually cost upwards of $98, this is a bargain even for those who aren’t fans of the Pokemon universe.

The accessory will have a small strap to be able to hang it and transport it more easily. Black, white, purple, white/black, and green/white… Many colors are available. Finally, the device will be sold with 11 stickers to stick directly on the case of the Galaxy Buds 2. They will all bear the image of eleven Pokémon from the first generation, namely Pikachu, Bublizarre, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Metamorph, Dragonite, Lokhlass, Eevee, Gengar, and Mew. Note that, initially, this product should only see the light of day in South Korea. The offer is already available on Samsung’s online store in the country but the exact launch details are unclear.

As a reminder, Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2, its latest wireless headphones, last summer. They take over the active noise reduction and the dual transducer system of the Galaxy Buds Pro.

This is not the first collaboration between Pokémon and Samsung. Indeed, the South Korean brand has already unveiled a special edition of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 featuring the Pokémon theme. The stocks had sold out in just a few minutes.
