San Antonio celebrated its 118 years with a great fair of exhibitors that was held in the Plaza Centenarioand the center of the city filled with activity, which was filled with enthusiasm for the celebrations of a new anniversary.

The central act took place on a large outdoor stage where, after the official addresses, local artists performed.. The first was Claudio Parra, who sang the song ‘Pescador del Golfo’, which received all the applause, since this song pays homage to the residents who are engaged in an activity that is key to the community.

The ceremony was headed by Mayor Adrián Casadei (JSRN). Governor Arabela Carreras excused himself from participating, mentioning, by note, that he had closed other commitments in advance. But the government minister Mariano Ferrari and the provincial deputy Luis Di Giácomo (JSRN) were present.

“I don’t know a town more supportive than this one. AND We will never give up. We have the Port, fishing, Alpat, tourism…San Antonio is the most important development pole in eastern Rio Negro and when we are no longer here and our children remain, it will be the most important in all of Río Negro,” said the community chief. Then, without making announcements, he gave way to the words of the announcer who made mentions of neighbors who were highlighted. Among them Carlos Kaltbizky, whom the Rotary Club distinguished as the most supportive resident, for his initiative of the ‘I want to learn’ library, which he has led for some time.

Then it was the turn of the parade, and the afternoon continued in full with people enjoying the different stalls.
