WASHINGTON (AP) — Victor Wembanyama returned following missing a game and contributed 24 points and eight rebounds to the cause of the San Antonio Spurs, who beat the Washington Wizards 131-127 on Saturday.
Tre Jones added 11 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds for the Spurs, while Jeremy Sochan scored 23 points and Devin Vasell added 21.
Wembanyama was absent for the sixth time this season, on Friday once morest Charlotte. The No. 1 overall draft pick suffered a sprained ankle on Dec. 23 in Dallas, and the Spurs have preferred to be cautious with him.
