The San Antonio Spurs have received first access rights in the upcoming NBA draft and can choose the French super talent Victor Wembanyama with the first pick. This resulted in the so-called “Draft Lottery”. The annual talent selection takes place on June 22nd in New York. Wembanyama is considered the most coveted first pick since LeBron James in 2003.
19-year-old prodigy Wembanyama would follow in the footsteps of French basketball legend Tony Parker, who won four championships with San Antonio between 2003 and 2014. The Texans ended the last main round at the bottom of the Western Conference.
