The San Lorenzo Board of Directors recently approved a measure that brings significant changes for box owners at the Pedro Bidegain stadium. Starting in April, those who enjoy the luxuries of these exclusive spaces within the stadium will have to pay a monthly fee that would be around 125,000 pesos to cover maintenance costs, according to the Mundo Azulgrana site. This decision, made during the last meeting on Monday, has generated controversy among Cyclone supporters.

The official website of the Barça cast revealed that, following a detailed analysis, it was decided to implement the collection of expenses as a financial solution for the maintenance of the box facilities. The institution assures that this step is essential to ensure the good condition and comfort within the facility, commonly known as the New Gasometer.

However, the measure has aroused discontent among a sector of fans since this requirement had not been notified during the acquisition of said spaces within the stadium. The reactions were immediate, and several partners have expressed their displeasure at what they consider a unilateral alteration of the established conditions.

Within the statement, the club also announced “the accounting and legal audit agreement reached with the prestigious firms Quian y Asociados and Cangueiro Ruiz Abogados. And this proposal was approved. The analysis will cover movements up to 10 years prior to this new government. It will start this Tuesday, it will have an estimated time of seven months and then there will be a report that, first of all, will be presented to the members of the Board of Directors.” The leaders maintained that “required liabilities that comprise some 23 million dollars will be audited and that include issues that have extremely compromised the economic reality of the club: loans from the Swiss Fund, Mutual de Rosario and Buenagol, lawsuits with players (Lucas Menossi, Fabricio Coloccini, Ignacio Piatti, to name just a few), Mutuos Dirigenciales, among others.” The audit was approved by a large majority and there were only two abstentions.

Regarding the return to Boedo, two issues were voted unanimously at the meeting: the public tender for the demolition of existing masonry and columns on Avenida La Plata 1700 and the soil studies, planimetry and plans according to measurement. The amounts were also reported.

In addition to the idea of charging expenses in the Bidegain boxes, “the free enhancement of the Tennis sector building was approved. In addition, the integration of several subcommittees (volleyball, handball, athletics) and the creation of the press and communication subcommittee of La Vuelta a Boedo were validated.”

On the other hand, an Assembly was called for Monday, May 13. There the appointment of the new members of the Ethics and Disciplinary Tribunal and the approval of Honorary Members will take place.
