Mumbai: Malayali player Sanju Samson is back in the Indian team. The player was included in the ODI squad for the tour of South Africa. Sanju has been included in the team as a wicket-keeper batsman. The tour consists of T20, ODIs and Tests. KL Rahul will lead the ODI team and Suryakumar Yadav will lead the T20 team.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have asked for a break from fixed-over cricket, so both of them have not been included in the ODI-T20 squads. Both are in the squad for the Test series. Mohammad Shami has been included in the Test squad but there is no clarity on whether he will play as he is undergoing treatment. Subhman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammad Siraj will return to T20. They are not in the squad for the ongoing match against Australia. The selection committee headed by Ajith Agarkar announced the team on Thursday evening.
