Kochi: The player Sanju Samson came to Kerala on the trophy tour of ODI World Cup. The students welcomed the Vishwa crown in Kochi by wearing masks with the picture of Sanju Samson. The World Cup will begin with the England-New Zealand match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5. India’s first match is against Australia on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The semi-finals will be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium and Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. Apart from the inaugural match, the final will also be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It is the largest cricket stadium in the world.

India will host the ODI World Cup in the months of October-November. Apart from Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala, Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad, Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Ekna Stadium in Lucknow, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune Hold the World Cup matches. Ahead of the World Cup, renovation work is progressing in all the stadiums. Thiruvananthapuram Greenfield Stadium will be the venue for the warm-up matches.
