Sapphire launches a card with 8 GB of VRAM

Sapphire launches a new small card with the RX 6500 XT Pulse. However, this new card is said to be “out of spec”. Indeed, this model has 8 GB of memory in GDDR6 instead of the 4 GB provided by AMD originally.

RX 6500 XT Pulse : an 8 GB card at Sapphire !

On the program, we therefore find a completely classic and relatively compact card… At least, against the current monsters. The card therefore measures 194 mm long and 40 mm thick, a double slot format therefore.

For cooling, the brand opts for double ventilation with a radiator consisting of aluminum fins and heat pipes. What to maintain the GPU cool, especially when you consider its TDP of 107W.

However, where Sapphire surprises, it is at the level of the quantity of video memory which is doubled. The original map ofAMD only has 4 GB in GDDR6 against 8 GB for this version. Despite everything, the memory bus remains 64 bits and the bandwidth does not change: 143.9 GB/s. The brand simply uses memory chips with a larger capacity.

On the other hand, one can count on a slight overclocking factory since the frequency in boost reaches 2855 MHz. The reference card reaches 2815 MHz.

At the moment we still do not know the sale price, the same for the launch date.

Here is the technical sheet of Sapphire !
