And the Saudi security authorities announced, on Monday, that they had thwarted two attempts to smuggle a large amount of Captagon pills and the drug hashish, after they were found hidden in two trucks that came to the Kingdom through two land outlets.

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority published a video clip to thwart the two attempts, as 293,000 Captagon pills and about 77 kilograms of hashish were seized.

The Gulf countries, especially Saudi Arabia, are the main destination for Captagon pills, which are easy-to-manufacture drugs and classified by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime as “a type of stimulating amphetamine”, which is usually a mixture of amphetamines, caffeine and other substances.
