According to details, Saudi Arabia has launched a new policy at the International Artificial Intelligence Summit to be held in Riyadh on October 21 and 22, and important tech agreements have been signed in this regard.

Under the Saudi National Strategy on Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), steps will be taken to make Saudi Arabia one of the top 15 countries in the world in the field of artificial intelligence by 2030.

Through Saudi Arabia’s heavy investment in infrastructure, education and 5G technology, as well as agreements with world leaders in artificial intelligence and cloud storage, Saudi Arabia is joining the ranks of what the World Economic Forum calls the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Named.

On the second day of the Riyadh Virtual Summit, 2 agreements were signed, including 2 strategic projects with the Chinese giant Huawei, one of which involves Arabic language and character recognition.

General Supervisor of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence Dr. Majid al-Tajwiri said that Saudi Arabia, as the leader of the Arab world, wants to help all Arab citizens with artificial intelligence technology that is proficient in the Arabic language.

Saudi Arabia has signed another deal with Chinese company Alibaba for the Smart City project, while a third deal was signed with US company IBM to transform the healthcare and energy sectors.
