Saudi Arabia.. The discovery of an ancient bull head statue.. What does it symbolize?

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Excavations and archaeological excavations in Saudi Arabia revealed a metal bull head statue, along with a number of other antiquities, at the Al-Ukhdood site in the Najran region.

The Heritage Authority in Saudi Arabia published pictures of the discoveries on its official Twitter page.

The bull’s head “is made of bronze metal with traces of oxidation. Work is currently underway to restore it according to the scientific method. It is known that the bull’s head was one of the prevalent and common things among the kingdoms of southern Arabia in pre-Islamic times. It is a symbol of strength and fertility, and it is the most important and prominent symbol of the Sabeans.” And the Maeenis and the Qatabanis,” according to what was reported by the Saudi Press Agency on the Heritage Authority.

The authority stated that “three gold rings with butterfly-shaped decorations on top were also discovered, and they all take the same shape and size, and they are among the archaeological finds that were not previously discovered at the Al-Ukhdood site during previous scientific projects.”

Also found at the Al-Ukhdood site were “many pottery jars of various sizes and sizes, in addition to an important archaeological discovery of an Attic pottery that dates back to the third century BC.”
