The competent Saudi authorities have arrested an Algerian man who killed two of his countrymen during their visit to perform Umrah in Mecca, according to the newspaper.Okazlocal.
The newspaper stated that the “Holy Capital Police” had arrested, on Monday, a visitor of Algerian nationality, for assaulting two visitors of the same nationality in a hotel and escaping from the crime scene, which led to their death.
According to a statement issued by the Emirate of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the accused was arrested, regular measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the Public Prosecution.
On the other hand, the newspaper reported:dayAl-Jazeera reported that the accused and the two victims were in Makkah to perform the rituals of Umrah, when a dispute occurred between them, which led to the killing of two and the arrest of the perpetrator, without revealing the identity of any of them.
The newspaper stated that the Hajj and Umrah office in Algeria has refused to confirm or refute this news so far.
