Saudi authorities have issued important guidelines for Umrah pilgrims

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has instructed pilgrims from abroad to avoid bringing many things with them.

Saudi Arabian authorities have advised Umrah pilgrims not to bring large amounts of money and expensive items while traveling for Umrah. In a post on Twitter, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has advised pilgrims to Saudi Arabia not to bring gold, precious stones and precious metals in general.

The government authority also urged worshipers to download bank apps from official sites, not to share bank account details or transfer money to unknown circles, and to ignore text messages from unknown sources. Pilgrims are advised to inform the ministry or relevant authorities if they suspect or become a victim of fraud.

Earlier in March, the ministry had urged Muslims to perform Umrah only once during the holy month of Ramadan to reduce crowding and ensure smooth and easy travel for pilgrims to destinations.

Muslims around the world can apply for Hajj payments through the app and organize their entire journey – from applying for an e-Visa to booking accommodation and flights – on the platform.
