Jeddah: The Saudi budget recorded a surplus of about 14.14 billion riyals in the third quarter of this year. This was stated in the budget statement released by the Saudi Ministry of Finance on Monday. The total expenditure in the third quarter is 287.73 billion riyals. Revenue of 301.87 billion Riyals was also recorded. Oil revenue for the third quarter was around 229.02 billion riyals and non-oil revenue was 72.85 billion riyals.

Compared to 243.38 billion riyals in the third quarter of 2021, total revenue has increased by 24 percent in the same period this year. It rose to about 301.87 billion. In the third quarter of this year, total expenses increased by 22 percent to 287.73 billion riyals. The total expenditure for the same period last year was about 236.7 billion Riyals.

Oil revenue for the third quarter of 2021 was 147.98 billion riyals. Oil revenue increased by 55 percent to about 229.02 billion riyals during the same period this year. Compared to the third quarter of last year, non-oil revenue decreased by 24 percent to 72.85 billion riyals in the same period this year. Last year, non-oil revenue was 95.4 billion riyals.

Assessing the budget for the nine months of this year, the total revenue was recorded at around 950.19 billion riyals. The cost is 800.65 billion riyals. A surplus of 149.54 billion riyals was recorded. The oil revenue for the nine months is about 663.09 billion riyals. Non-oil revenue is about 287.1 billion riyals.
