Saw: the film Spiral with Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Rock postponed to 2021 – Actus Ciné

Spiral, the legacy of Saw, the spin-off of the horror saga Saw supposed to be released in theaters on May 13, 2020 has just been postponed by one year by Metropolitan.

Announced in our dark rooms for May 13, the spin-off of the Saw horror saga worn by Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Rock had been postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Spiral: The Legacy of Saw will therefore be released in theaters on May 19, 2021.

Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (already at the controls of episodes 2 to 4) and written and produced by Chris Rock, this revival follows Lieutenant Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Rocks) and his new partner (Max Minghella). The latter investigate a series of macabre murders whose modus operandi is strangely reminiscent of that of a serial killer who once raged in the city. Unknowingly trapped, Zeke finds himself at the center of a terrifying scheme whose killer pulls the strings.

The distributor has also postponed the action film Hitman & Bodyguard 2 worn by Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds by a year. Announced for August 2020, the sequel to the adventures of the bodyguard (Reynolds) and the fearsome hitman (Jackson) will finally be released in our theaters on August 18, 2021.
