SAWANGAN is now starting to develop into a new busy point or the new center point in Depok City. In fact, this time the city is even more beautiful and bright thanks to the unique light arrangement of the area shopping street Senopati Boulevard.
“We assess that development in the Sawangan area has good prospects to become a business, residential and lifestyle center in Depok City,” said Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris in an official statement received, Wednesday (20/3).
Idris said, with its increasingly developed location, many investors are entering, especially in the property sector, one of which is the Vasanta Group which has developed the Eco Town project in Sawangan, Depok. This area is not only a comfortable residential area but also a new business center in the heart of Depok City.
In order to beautify the area, a unique lighting arrangement was installed in the Senopati Boulevard area, which is a shopping or lifestreet area located about two kilometers from the tourism and culinary destination at Eco Town on Jalan Bojongsari.
Vasanta Group Group CEO Nicholas Hum said, this aesthetic lighting is the first concept that can be found in the Depok area which includes lighting for commercial buildings (shophouses) and street lights. This lamp is installed in an elegant European architectural style.
“On this occasion, we will introduce two icons, namely Senopati Boulevard Whale of Joy and Eco Town Tree of Life,” said Nicholas.
He said, the two icons, namely Whale of Joy, The whale mascot has the meaning of spreading happiness to visitors to the Senopati Boulevard area. The placement of whale fin lights can also be found in several locations on Senopati Boulevard.
Whereas Tree of Life gives the meaning of an old tree that stands strong and grows even though lightning strikes several times, but this tree remains strong.
“We hope to inspire determination and enthusiasm for visitors to Senopati Boulevard,” explained Nicholas.
Nicholas further emphasized that the touch of Eco Town’s lighting will certainly be a special feature for Eco Town as well as differentiating it from other residential areas in the Sawangan area, Depok. Thus, it is hoped that the artistic lighting arrangement in this area can add selling value and provide comfort for Eco Town residents.
According to Nicholas, the lighting concept in this commercial area has been planned since the beginning of Eco Town’s development.
“We hope that this innovation will further strengthen Eco Town’s position as The Heart of Depok “both for visitors and the people of Depok and Jakarta in general so that it can become a tourist destination and place to live for them,” he said.
Currently, apart from the development of commercial areas, it is increasingly advanced with the addition of tenants such as Will’s Kitchen, Audy Dental and others.
Apart from the inauguration of the artistic lights, this moment is part of and marks the start of the Ramadan event Vasanta Eco Town Harmony of Lights, a culinary festival during Ramadan 2024.
